Procedure for opening Jan Dhan account
To open a new Jan Dhan account, take a form from the nearest bank. Now fill the name, mobile number, bank branch name, applicant’s address, nominee, business / employment and annual income and number of dependents, SSA code or ward number, village code or town code etc. Now submit the Aadhar Card or Passport or Driving License or PAN Card, Voter Card, NREGA Job Card, letter issued with authorization, with name, address and Aadhaar number, by attested photocopy by the Gazetted Officer along with this form.
Convert old account
If you want to convert your old bank account into Jan Dhan account, then you have to go to the bank branch and apply for RuPay card. As soon as filling a form, your bank account will be transferred to Jan Dhan Yojana. This is a very easy process.
