As of the April installment, the central government has sent a total of Rs 10029 crore in the form of Rs 500-500 to the Jan Dhan account of 20.05 crore women. At the same time, as of the installment of May, the government has put an amount of 20.63 crore in the accounts of 10315 crore women. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had announced an ex-gratia of 500 rupees every month for three months to all women account holders under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY).
