Social Networking Sites are Dangerous for Teenager

Toronto: New study reveals that those teenager who spends more than two hours per day on social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram are more enhanced to the sense of suicidal thoughts in adolescents period. Psychological distress and increased risk of developing mental disorders are more dangerous, and their mental health condition is even worse.

Researchers say that the teenage who use social networking sites longer need mental health assistance. They said the study gives parents an important message, as well as an opportunity for mental health support service, provides to increase their presence on these sites.

Canada, Ottawa – Dr.Rozmond Lewis conducted a survey on Student Drug consumption and health survey. The study has been carried out on students from seventh to 12th grade in the Ontario. Data analysis revealed that about 25 percent of students were found accustomed to using social networking sites more than two hours.

Researchers compared the time spent on social networking sites with the needs of necessary mental health support in teenager during adolescents with psychological tests.

The study cyber psychology is published in the Journal of Behavior and Social Networking.
