What is Bhagyalakshmi Yojana (UP Bhagya Lakshmi Yojana)
Bhagyalakshmi scheme is one of the important schemes of the Government of Uttar Pradesh. The objective of the scheme is to strengthen the future of girls, to help them in their education. In this scheme, the state gives financial assistance of Rs 50 thousand to the family on the birth of a girl child in the family. Also, when the daughter becomes 21 years old, then this amount becomes 2 lakh rupees. However, the benefit of this scheme will only be given to the Below Poverty Line (BPL) family.
How to get the benefit of this scheme
To take advantage of Bhagyalakshmi scheme, the applicant family must be a native of Uttar Pradesh. Certain conditions have been laid for this scheme, under which only two girls of one family can get the benefit of Bhagyalakshmi scheme. At the same time, the girl must be born after the year 2006. Applicant family should be below poverty line (BPL). The annual income of the family should be less than Rs 2,00,000. It is necessary to register in Anganwadi within one month of the girl’s birth.

To apply under Bhagyalakshmi scheme, you have to download the online form from the official website. After downloading and filling an affidavit, you will have to submit it in the Anganwadi center of your area. Apart from this, Uttar Pradesh’s original residence certificate, Aadhar card, girl’s birth certificate, income certificate, caste certificate, home address certificate, bank account information will also have to be provided.
