The Bhagyashree scheme has been launched by the Government of Karnataka with the aim of promoting birth of girls in BPL or BPL families. Essential conditions
Only girls born in families below poverty line after 2006 can avail this scheme. Apart from this, it is necessary to get the girl’s name registered in the scheme within one year of its birth. The beneficiary is required to complete studies by the 8th grade and should not get married before the age of 18.

3. Health insurance of parents of the girl child is also available under the scheme. Therefore, you get 1 lakh rupees for accidents and up to 42,500 rupees for natural death.
4. There is no problem in raising the daughter, so on completion of the girl’s age of 18 years from the government, the parents get Rs. 34,751.
How to apply
One can apply both online and offline to avail this scheme. The online application form can be downloaded from the official website of the government. While applying for this, the birth certificate of the girl child, income certificate of parents, bank statement of BPL card and girl child will be required.
