CNG variants of many vehicles including Maruti Suzuki’s Swift and ALTO became expensive, prices increased so much

If you have been eyeing the CNG variant of any Maruti Suzuki vehicle and want to buy it soon, then there may be some important news for you as the company has increased the price of its upcoming vehicles in the CNG segment. Country’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki India on Monday said it has increased the prices of CNG variants of Swift and other models by up to Rs 15,000.
Maruti Suzuki India told the stock exchange that the prices of Swift and all other CNG variants have been hiked due to rising raw material cost. The company said, “The showroom price of the above models has increased by up to Rs 15,000 in Delhi. The new prices are effective from today i.e. July 12, 2021.
Before the price hike, the Swift was available for Rs 8.27 lakh from Rs 5.73 lakh. This is the showroom price in Delhi.
Maruti Suzuki sells CNG variants across several of its models including Alto, Celerio, S-Presso, WagonR, Eeco and Ertiga, with prices ranging from Rs 4.43 lakh to Rs 9.36 lakh.
In April this year, the company had increased the prices of most of its models by up to Rs 22,500, except the Celerio and Swift.
