Indian Narcotics Control Bureau(NCB) has caught the first cryptocurrency based drug huckster and has seized around 55000 tablets in the play. NCB has informed that it was a part of the global operation and the drugs were made for different countries such as US, UK, Romania, Spain, and the other European countries and used the couriers, international postal services, and private parcel deliveries.

NCB further said, “Global post offices and international courier services were used as logistics for illicit trade. The payments gateways of cryptocurrency were used by the operators to conceal the transactions from law enforcement agencies.”

Dipu Singh, aged 21 years old and the son of a retired army officer and has been accused of dealing with the different psychotropic and prescription pills on the dark web. It is said that Dipu Singh started selling the drugs for health reasons and other erectile dysfunction medications through the major darknet websites. Dipu Singh was captured by the central anti-narcotics agency under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Rajesh Nandan Srivastava, Deputy Director-General of NCB said “Singh had mastered the technique to disguise the identity while making a shipment. It was learnt that the said parcel was devoid of KYC details,”
