Trying to promote the birth of daughters
People often despise daughters when they are born. Due to this, the number of daughters is decreasing. The Delhi government has launched Mukhyamantri Laadli Yojana (Mukhyamantri Laadli Yojana) to promote the birth of daughters. In this, the government will provide financial help to the girls at different stages of birth and education. Under this, the amount will be added to the bank account, which can be withdrawn according to their need after the child is 18 years old. Under the scheme, girls are given a total of 35 to 36 thousand rupees. The government believes that this scheme will increase the trend of registration of girls after birth.

First installment is available at birth
The first installment under this scheme is given at the time of birth. 11 thousand rupees are given to the girls who are born in the hospital. While the daughter is born at home, she is given 10,000 rupees. After this, financial assistance from the government is given to the girl child when she enrolls in the first grade. This benefit is also given on going to the sixth, ninth, tenth and then 12th class. Every time 5–5 thousand rupees are given by the government.

Scheme Conditions
To avail the Ladli scheme, the applicant must be a resident of Delhi. The annual income of the child’s family should not exceed 1 lakh rupees. The benefit of this scheme can be given only on the birth of two girls in a family. The school in which the child studies must be recognized by the Government of Delhi. Proof of the child’s parents living in Delhi for three years (ration card, electricity / water bills etc.), income certificate, birth certificate of the girl child (birth certificate), photo of the family of the girl, applicant Caste certificate (in case of SC / ST) and Aadhar card will be required. People will be able to take advantage of the scheme only when the application is applied at the right time. So if the girl has started going to school, then it is necessary to apply within 90 days of admission in the school. If the girl has just been born, then within a year, one can apply to avail the Ladli scheme.

How to apply
One can contact State Bank of India (SBI) to apply under Ladli scheme. Apart from this, you can get detailed information by contacting the government or recognized school and office of Social Welfare Department of Delhi Government. SBI Life Insurance Company manages the amount deposited in her bank account till the age of 18 years in the scheme. At the same time, this amount can be withdrawn at the time of the daughter’s completion of 18 years and passing the 10th examination or admission in the 12th standard.
