Stock Market Updates : There is a tremendous rally going on in the domestic stock market and records are being made on record. The Sensex-Nifty has again set a record in the closing on Wednesday. Both the benchmark indices closed at new highs today. Banking and financial stocks have seen tremendous gains in both the indices. till closing BSE Sensex jumped 546.41 points to close at an all-time high of 54,369.77 NSE Nifty gained 128.05 points to close at a record 16,258.80 points. Today the Sensex had registered a jump of 642.55 points, while the Nifty touched the figure of 16,290.20.

Closing took place in the green mark in five sectors of Nifty. The highest profit was recorded in the 2.5 percent Financial Services Index. Nifty Bank and Private Bank indices also gained more than 2 per cent. On the other hand, realty, IT, auto and FMCG shares closed lower.

If you take a look at the opening, then today a record was made as soon as the market opened. The Sensex touched the 54,000 mark for the first time and the Nifty also opened beyond the level of 16,200. With the opening, the Sensex opened at the level of 54,065.27 with a jump of 241.91 points i.e. 0.45%. Nifty also opened at 16,233.90 with a gain of 103.10 points and 0.64%. With the opening of the market, about 1391 shares saw a rise and 338 shares declined.

Tata Steel was the top gainer in the Sensex with a gain of nearly two per cent. Apart from this, HDFC, ICICI Bank, Dr Reddy’s, Infosys, Reliance Industries and HDFC Bank were also among the gainers. On the other hand Bharti Airtel, Nestle India, SBI, HUL and UltraTech Cement were trading in the red mark.
