14 stocks were in the green on BSE. The fastest growth was happening in ITC, PowerGrid, UltraTech Cement and Tata Steel. At the same time, the biggest decline was happening in Infosys, TCS, Reliance, and Wipro.

At the same time, shares of ONGC, ITC, Titan and Tata Consumer were on the rise on Nifty. At the same time, Infosys, TCS, Wipro and HCL Tech were on the decline.

If we talk about yesterday’s closing, then Sensex closed below 59,000 mark on Thursday with a dive of 770. The fall came on the back of increased selling pressure at the close of trade amid profit-booking in IT and financial stocks. According to traders, the continuing capital outflow of foreign institutional investors also affected the business sentiment adversely.

The Sensex closed at 58,788.02 points, down 770.31 points or 1.29 per cent and the Nifty closed at 17,560.20, down 219.80 points or 1.24 per cent.
