Toyota Kirloskar Motors has temporarily closed the bookings for its recently introduced car ‘Hilux’. Toyota has decided to close the bookings for the time being keeping in mind the various factors affecting the supply amid high demand for Hilux. The company had started bookings last month with the expectation of starting its supplies in April, but did not announce its price.
In this regard, a Toyota spokesperson said, “Due to various factors affecting our supply, we are unable to meet the increased demand.”
Earlier, the company had revealed that it is working with Japan’s space agency on a vehicle which is preparing to land on the moon. Company officials had informed that this vehicle being built with the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency has been named Lunar Cruiser. The name is dedicated to Toyota’s Land Cruiser sport utility vehicle.
The company had said that we see space as an area where telecommunications and other technologies can be developed. These will prove to be valuable for human life.
