Samsung TVs just got a great upgrade

HDR10+ is coming to the Apple TV app, a big win for Samsung TVs

The Apple tvOS 16 upgrade gave Apple TV 4K users some much-needed upgrades. Now, they're getting another one.

Apple quietly rolled out tvOS 16 HDR 10+ support. HDR10+ is an HDR standard for video content just like HDR10+ and Dolby Vision

Apple tvOS already supported the standards but had not yet adopted HDR10+. .

HDR10+ designed largely by Samsung, because Dolby Vision is not free to use

To use DolbyVision, companies must license it, unlike HDR10, which is an open standard.

Google is also working on its own to make HDR10+ variant named  Project Caviar

The streaming box now supports HDR10, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+, so you can watch  with whatever HDR-capable you have

You don't need to do anything to enable HDR10+ on your Apple TV 4K or Samsung Smart TV Apple, it will be enabled automatically
