Sales of two-wheelers during the September quarter stood at 46,90,565 units in this financial year, as against 46,82,571 units in the same period of the previous fiscal. Commercial vehicle sales, however, declined by 20.13 percent during the period. In the September quarter, 1,67,173 commercial vehicles were sold in the year-ago period, coming down to 1,33,524 units. This is the sixth consecutive quarter in the category of commercial vehicles, when sales declined. Three-wheeler sales fell 74.63 percent during the period.
