Gold Prices today: Gold declined, but silver jumped.

Gold-Silver Prices Updates: Gold fell by Rs 168 to Rs 47,450 per ten grams in the local bullion market on Thursday amid falling global markets. On the previous day, the closing price of gold was Rs 47,618 per 10 grams. However, in contrast, silver rose by Rs 238 and the price reached Rs 69,117 per kg. On the previous day, its price was 68,879 rupees per kg.

In the international market also, the price of gold was weak at $ 1,791 an ounce. Silver, however, held steady at $ 26.45 an ounce. HDFC Securities Senior Analyst (Consumer Commodities) Tapan Patel said, “Gold turned soft on Thursday with the spot price on New York-based commodities exchange Comex being down at $ 1,791 per ounce on Thursday.”

Gold-silver future declines

On Thursday, gold prices fell by Rs 260 to Rs 47,968 per 10 grams in the futures market, as speculators reduced their deals due to weak demand for gold. At the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold futures for June fell by Rs 260, or 0.54 per cent, to Rs 47,968 per 10 grams. In this, a total of 11,233 lots were traded.

At the same time, silver prices fell by Rs 318 to Rs 70,020 per kg in futures trade on Thursday after speculators reduced their deals due to weak demand for silver. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, the delivery price of silver fell by Rs 318, or 0.45 per cent, to Rs 70,020 per kg in May. In this, deals were done for 9,377 lots.
