new Delhi. Nowadays, PAN card is very important for filing income tax return including bank. But many times the PAN card of many people is lost by mistake. If this has happened to you and you want to rebuild it, then you have to take care of some things. First of all, you have to have a police complaint to lose your original PAN card. Only then can you apply for a duplicate copy of the PAN card.

1. To get a duplicate copy of PAN card or to get an instant e-PAN, you can visit the Income Tax Department portal. Here you go to the e-filing portal. Enter your 12 digit Aadhaar number here. After doing this, one time password will come on your registered mobile number. As soon as this OTP is inserted, the other processes will have to be completed and submitted. After doing this, a copy of the PAN card will be sent to the applicant in PDF format. You can download it through your email.

2. If you have lost your PAN card, you can apply for a duplicate PAN card by submitting the Request for New PAN Card or / and Changes or Correction in PAN Data form.

3. You need to attach a copy of the FIR along with the application form for duplicate PAN. In which your first PAN card will have details of lost or stolen. This will not misuse your personal information.

4. On making duplicate PAN from the department you will have to pay a fixed fee. If you order it at your address, you will have to pay a fee of Rs 110. If you order it at a foreign address, the applicant will have to pay Rs 1020.
