Markets regulator SEBI on Wednesday issued an investor charter to protect the interests of investors in the securities market. In this charter, along with the details of the rights and obligations of the investors, an attempt has been made to make them aware of the precautions to be taken in the securities market. Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) (SEBI) According to a public notice of the U.S., the purpose of preparing this charter is to protect the interests of investors and help them to invest in a fair, transparent and safe market.

The Charter entitles investors to fair and equitable treatment, timely redressal of complaints, quality services from SEBI accredited market infrastructure institutions and intermediaries. Along with this, SEBI has also fixed some responsibilities for the investors and divided them into “Doable” and “Not Doable”. SEBI said that timely disposal of grievances of investors is of utmost importance to safeguard their interests. SEBI handles complaints online through its portal SCORES.
