Stock Market Updates: On Monday, the Sensex-Nifty closed with a slight increase after losing the day’s gains, but on Tuesday, the markets are open with a good bounce in the opening. Yesterday the Nifty fell below the level of 14,000, but today the index has again reclaimed the level of 15,000. The Bombay Stock Exchange index Sensex has also risen by more than 500 points.
After the market opened at 9.20 am, the Sensex was trading at a level of 50,953 with a jump of 502 points i.e.
Let us know that the Sensex and Nifty had lost most of the initial gains by the close of the market on Monday and finally closed with a slight increase. After the decline of two consecutive sessions, the market opened with good gains due to buying in energy, IT and pharma stocks, but could not sustain it. In volatile trading, the 30-share BSE Sensex had gained 35.75 points, or 0.07 per cent, to close at 50,441.07.
Foreign portfolio investors sold shares worth a net Rs 2,014.16 crore on Friday, according to provisional data from the stock exchanges. The rupee fell 23 paise to close at 73.25 per dollar in the interbank foreign exchange market.
