Share Market Updates: Taiwan index drops 8% due to loss in Sensex-Nifty, Kovid

Today, the Sensex-Nifty is running in a continuous decline in the stock market.

Stock Market Updates: Wednesday is looking lossy for the stock market. Today, the opening has taken place with a fall in both the benchmark indices. Then in the early trade, the index is continuously declining. At the same time, a decline is being recorded today in Asian markets, the effect of which is visible in the local markets today. Today, Taiwan’s index has fallen by 8 percent. The Health Ministry has announced that Taiwan will increase the alert level of Kovid-19 there in the next few days, after which the benchmark stock index TAIEX fell 8 percent.

At 11.13 am, the Sensex registered a decline of 457.05 points i.e. 0.93% and the index was at a level of 48,704.76. At the same time, the Nifty was trading at a level of 14,718.95, taking a decline of 131.80 points i.e. 0.89%.

Today, the Sensex had lost 448.45 points or 0.91% in the opening and was trading at the level of the index. The Nifty was trading at 14718.70 with a fall of 132.10 points i.e. 0.89%. A total of 1361 shares were increased in the opening, 1170 shares were reduced and 128 did not register any rise.

HDFC declined the most by two percent in the Sensex. Apart from this, M&M, HUL, Nestle India, Tech Mahindra and ICICI Bank were included in the red-marked stocks. On the other hand, Powergrid, NTPC, L&T, SBI and ONGC saw a boom.

In the previous session, the Sensex had fallen by 340.60 points, or 0.69 per cent, to 49,161.81 and the Nifty was down 91.60 points or 0.61 per cent to close at 14,850.75. Meanwhile, the international oil benchmark Brent crude was trading 0.36 percent down at US $ 68.30 a barrel.
