PM Awas Yojana 2020: Through the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, people of weaker income group can fulfill their dream of taking home. What does EWS, LIG and MIG mean?
As three categories of loans are given under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. This includes EWS, LIG and MIG. EWS means Economic Backward Class, LIG means Low Income Group and MIG means Middle Income Group. EWS has been kept with annual income up to Rs 3 lakh. At the same time, LIG category with an annual income of more than Rs 3 lakh and Rs 6 lakh, and MIG-I with annual income from 6 lakh to 12 lakh and MIG-II with annual income of 12 lakh to 18 lakh will be included in the category.
Who can avail
The beneficiary family under this scheme includes husband, wife, unmarried son or unmarried daughters. Explain that the person earning is considered as a separate house hold. The government has targeted to construct 2 crore houses under this scheme by 31 March 2022.

Applications under the Prime Minister Housing Scheme can be made offline and through online. One can apply for online under https://pmaymis.gov.in/. Apart from this, offline can be applied for the scheme by filling the form available through the Common Service Center (CSC).
