MKUY: Girl students gift of state government, 25 will be given on passing inter and 50 thousand rupees on graduation

new Delhi. The Bihar government runs the Chief Minister Kanya Utthan Yojana to motivate students to study and encourage them. In this, the students are given scholarship. This time, the Bihar government has increased the scholarship amount. Now 25 thousand rupees will be given to girls who pass inter and 50 thousand rupees will be given to the girl students who do graduation. The new system will come into force from the financial year 2021-22.

The Bihar CM also spoke about the upliftment of daughters during their election announcements. Under this, scholarship has been increased. Earlier, the government used to give Rs 10 thousand to the students who have passed the Inter and Rs 25 thousand to the students who have obtained the degree of graduation. But now by increasing this amount, the girls students will get double benefit. About 16 million girl students of the state will benefit from this scheme. A provision of two hundred crore rupees was made for this scheme in the year 2020-21. Whereas in the financial year 2021-2022, its budget has been increased to three hundred crores.

This is the purpose of the plan
This scheme is being run by the Government of Bihar with a view to ban child marriage in the state of Bihar and encourage girls to pursue higher education. The education department is responsible for the operation of the scheme.
