Indian Railways has earned more than Rs 16 crore through special trains. According to a railway official, a total of 45,533 PNRs have been generated and 82,317 passengers have been reserved. According to the official, 45,533 tickets have been booked for just one week. Trains are going on from today to connect the 15 cities of the country with the capital Delhi. Booking of tickets for these trains started at 6 pm on Monday. However, these tickets were booked within minutes. People were stranded everywhere due to Corona’s lockdown. In such a situation, with the announcement of the introduction of trains, there has been huge enthusiasm among people and people want to reach their destination soon.
However, the rail journey is no longer as it was before the lockdown. Now to travel in trains, mask, hand sanitizer is necessary. Apart from this, travelers should also have the Arogya Setu app downloaded. Not only this, there are also indications of starting air travel soon like railways. Even during air travel, there is a talk of being very strict.
According to reports, no food will be provided during the air journey. Apart from this, there will be no contact between the crew members and the passengers. Railway Minister Piyush Goyal had informed in a tweet that the railway will gradually start operating trains. In fact, Lockdown 3.0 currently implemented is the last day of May 17. In such a situation, it is believed that some additional relaxation can be done by the government.
In the meeting of Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Monday, several states had demanded to extend the lockdown till May 31, while states like Delhi and Odisha had suggested to increase the concessions. Not only this, there has been a demand for loosening of work in areas other than Red Zone, except Containment Zones.
