On the other hand, Kotak Mahindra Bank shares closed down about 4 per cent.

Stock market closed flat
Today the stock market has closed at a flat level. The Bombay Stock Exchange’s flagship index Sensex gained 7.09 points to end at 49751.41 points. During the trading session, the Sensex also went up by 50,327.31 points. On the other hand, the Nifty 50, the major index of the National Stock Exchange, has closed with a gain of 32.10 points at 14707.80 points. The BSE Small Cap closed with a gain of 144.56 points, the BSE Mid-Cap 194.35 points and the CNX Midcap 230.50 points.

Decline in banking sector
Today, the banking sector saw a decline in the stock market. Bank Exchange closed down 216.10 points and Bank Nifty lost 140.30 points. Other Capital Goods 426.27, Consumer Durables 363.35, BSE Metal 485.26, Oil & Gas 306.71, BSE PSU 119.16, BSE Auto 164.94, BSE FMCG 46.32, BSE Healthcare 35.22, BSE IT 50.74 and BSE Tech closed up by 10.36 points. .

Rising and falling shares
Talking about the first rising shares, Tata Steel closed up 6.54 per cent, Tata Motors 6.40 per cent, ONGC 5.55 per cent, Hindalco Industries 5.36 per cent and UPL shares 4.94 per cent. On the other hand, Kotak Mahindra Bank closed down 3.93 per cent, Adani Ports and SEZ 1.75 per cent, Maruti Suzuki India 1.64 per cent, Bajaj Auto 1.49 per cent and Divis Laboratories 1.38 per cent.
